Butterfly Cog Album

Here is one of the projects we made on our most recent Craft Awayday.
It is a chipboard album from Fabscraps and is part of the Dream Steam collection. It has a die cut front cover and then 4 circular pages as well.

So we painted the front with Paper Artsy Fresco Finish paint and then added some Infusions crystals to tone the colour to the papers we were using. The butterfly was hot filed using the GoPress & Foil machine.

The papers I chose to use are from The Paper Boutique and is the Sunflower Song collection.

The next step was to begin covering each page with these beautiful papers.

I die cut a circle to use on the inside of the front cover.

Embellishments were added using some of the die cut toppers which also come in the paper pack.
Some of the pages were left quite simple so photos can be added.

A pretty tag, ribbon and buttons add a nice decorative touch.

Simple matting & layering, leaving room for photos and journalling.

Finally, the back cover.
There is plenty of scope to add your own spin on this and personalise a lovely album...

Thanks for dropping in. x

Stash-Busting Backgrounds

We decided this year would be all about stash-busting: using up all those lovely bits & pieces we keep because "They will come in"!  Won't they?

With that in mind we designed our workshops around using little pieces of paper. Let's face it - some of the papers are so gorgeous and we just can't bring ourselves to throw even the smallest scraps out, can we?

I had been using Couture Creations C'est La Vie papers on another project and had lots of pieces left, so I set to and cut them into strips.

A sheet of double sided adhesive, some pieces of card and other scraps - lace, a few pearls and I was really pleased with the result.

I still had some bits left though, so I went on to create this one as well:

Using a border punch ( remember them - before we all abandoned them in favour of dies!), some bits of ribbon and an odd flower - yet another pleasing result.

Introducing Pink & Main

This week's workshop will feature the new stamp & die sets from Pink & Main.
They have large word dies paired up with a really nice selection of phrases to create cards for multiple occasions or "just because".

The dies have a solid word and a shadow, giving lots of versatility in use.

Hi, I am really excited to be able to announce that we now have a LIVE website.
Please note that at the moment it is only in beta phase but I would really welcome any feedback from you that would help me to improve the site. It is active and you can purchase products but it is very much still in its infancy. Please let me know if there is anything you would particularly like to see available, or whether you find the site easy to navigate. I will be continuing to make additions and improvements over the
next few weeks but please feel free to take a look now and have a good mooch around.
Cheers, Gwen x
